Andreas Müller studied Applied Geography (spatial planning) at the University of Trier (Germany). Today he works as a researcher writing his doctoral thesis at the chair of innovative brand management (LiM) at the University of Bremen (Germany). His research focus is the transfer of the identity based brand management approach to the spatial context. Empirical basis of his research is the identity and image analysis of the cities of Bremen and Bremerhaven with more than 6000 respondents in Germany and seven countries. Beside his interest in the management of place brands he is working as brand management consultant for companies and sport-leagues like the German Basketball Bundesliga (BBL).
Andreas Müller is member of the expert-network of the Association for Place Branding and Public Diplomacy, guest lecturer and speaker on international conferences on branding and place branding
