Anke Fehring, born in Germany in 1980, holds a diploma in "International Cultural and Business Studies" (University of Passau). With her focus on American politics, she studied two semesters at universities in Boston (Emerson College; Harvard University).
After her graduation, Anke started her own business in Berlin in the field of arts management (classical music). She planned and organized projects such as festivals and competitions, with and for internationally renowned artists.
In 2006, Anke enrolled in a PhD program in International Politics at the University of Cologne. In her dissertation she discusses nation branding as a tool for a government's identity politics. She is especially interested in helping to build a bridge between political theory and nation branding practice. Anke gets a fulltime scholarship from the "Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft" (sdw), Berlin.
