Anke Müller

Anke Müller has been working for the German nation branding initiative "Germany - Land of Ideas" for many years and was involved in various projects in Germany (365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas) and abroad (Deutsches Haus 2010, Germany and China - Moving Ahead Together). During her work there she realized the need for practical as well as theoretical knowledge by many people involved in the place branding process and so in 2010, together with Ariane Derks, she founded the Steinbeis Transfer Institut Standortmarketing in order to focus on research and teaching about place branding.

Anke Müller started her working career in Munich, where she worked in the marketing department of a film company, organizing everything from promotion tours to marketing material. In 2002 she moved to Berlin to get to know the eastern part of Germany better - working for a marketing agency which specialised in East German marketing.

Anke Müller holds an MA in political science from the University of Stuttgart.
