Ariane Derks is responsible for business development at the German nation branding initiative Germany - Land of Ideas , in particular for project development within the network of partners and for the coordination of the private and public sector. Working with these partners she realized the need for practical as well as theoretical knowledge by many people involved and so in 2010, together with Anke Müller, she founded the Steinbeis Transfer Institut Standortmarketing in order to offer classes on place branding and to advocate project development in the area.
Before that Ariane Derks was in charge of the master degree classes for Managers and Entrepreneurs at the Steinbeis Hochschule Berlin in cooperation with national and international universities such as the Universität St. Gallen; Kelley School of Business, Indiana; De Paul University, Chicago. She had also various consulting projects in the area of corporate strategy and corporate culture and CIP. She is initiator and co-author of the book Unternehmensführerschein and was admitted to the German Rednerlexikon 2010 .
Ariane Derks studied International Economics and holds a Master of Business and Engineering, studying in Germany as well as the United States and Japan.
