Claudia K. Huber, born in Germany in 1980, holds a Master of Science in Media and Communications (London School of Economics and Political Science). Since 2006, she has been working as a senior researcher at the Institute for Media and Communications Policy in Berlin (IfM GgmbH) and is responsible for projects with a focus on political communication in the European Union and on European media policy. She also is a fellow of the Berlin Graduate School for Social Sciences (BGSS) at the Humboldt University in Berlin and is working on her PhD thesis about political communication in EU presidencies.
After a one year "General Course" at the Leibniz Kolleg in Tübingen, she studied Communications Science, Political Science, Psychology, and Media Management at the Institute for Journalism and Communication Research in Hanover, the Free University of Berlin, and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
After her graduation in 2004, Claudia worked for the Directorate-General for Culture and Communication at the Federal Foreign office (2004/2005) and the Hamburg Media School (2006).
Claudia’s publications include the paper "Black Box Brüssel – EU-Journalismus zwischen Affirmation und Kontrolle", published in 2007 (PDF) and the article "Medienkonzerne" published in "Handbuch für Medienpolitik" (edited by Lutz Hachmeister) in 2008.
