Daniel Florian, M. A.

Daniel Florian was born in 1980 in Wuppertal (North Rhine Westphalia). He studied politics and history in Bochum (Germany) and Public Administration and Public Policy at the University of York (UK).

Since 2006, Daniel has been working as a consultant at dimap communications, a public relations and public affairs consultancy based in Berlin. Since August 2007, he is head of the public diplomacy unit at dimap communications and responsible for an international public diplomacy project. Other research interests include international relations and think tanks.

In autumn, his essay on "The new diplomats? Public Diplomacy and the role of communication agencies in foreign policy" (together with Sandra Busch-Janser) will be published in the volume "Politische Kommunikation in den internationalen Beziehungen" (LIT Verlag).
