Gero Grandisch

Gero Grandisch studied Marketing Communications and Integrated Marketing at the Marketing Akademie of Frankfurt and at thr Northwestern University in Chicago (Medill school of journalism and Kellogg). There, he specialized in Database Marketing and Consumer Insight Research.

After working on both the agency as well as the client side in England, Spain, Mexico and the United States, he started his own company in 2003. His offer to find consumer insights in data and to translate the findings into a coherent marketing strategy allowed him to sign contracts with a variety of companies, among them T-Systems and the large dental supplier Dentsply. As of 2006, Mr Grandisch heads Medenstar BV.

Mr. Grandisch specializes in the research aspect of place branding and public diplomacy. The analysis of complex, often abstract issues such as national identity, opinion toward a neighboring country or the motivation to visit a foreign country present challenges. Innovative research and analysis can deliver better understanding.

In turn, the close understanding of the target group(s) allows the manager to better define the target of the project and enhance its chances of success by delivering a better briefing to the creative agency.
