Gilberto Gribaudo was born in 1976 in Torino (Italy) where he studied Political Science and International Relations at the University of Turin. In 1997-1998 he studied Comparative Politics at the Vaxjo University in Sweden.

After brief experiences at the OSCE and UNESCO, he started his professional career in 2001 in the field of international advertising at AFA Press and Impact Media where contributed to create reports published in The Times, the IHT, the Daily Telegraph, The Indepedent, and USA Today.

Since 2005, he is business development manager at World Report Media where he produces advertising country programmes broadcast on CNBC Europe, focused on attracting investments and develop tourism.

Up to date he interviewed over 500 personalities in the political and business circles in over 17 countries in 4 continents. Some of the places he surveyed are Indonesia, Albania, Georgia, South Africa, Mongolia and the Russian region of Krasnodar.

Due to his wide experience on the field, his interest is to match the theory of place branding with the practices in countries, particulary in emerging economies, and the links between place branding and socio-economic development.
