Peter Fankhauser

Peter Fankhauser was born in Biel (Canton of Bern). He studied history, constitutional law & history and cultural geography at the University of Bern. From 1995 to 1997, he worked as a TV journalist. From 1997 to 2001 he was the managing director of a national project that aimed at creating a performance-related film funding. In parallel, he did a Master in national and international services marketing.

In Summer 2001, he started working for the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and is since responsible for the department of instruments and training and member of the board of directors at Presence Switzerland, the official platform of Switzerland abroad.
