Thomas Schauerte majored in visual communication studies at the Higher Technical College (Polytechnic) in Münster.
Following his graduation as a qualified designer, he founded his own business in the Ruhr area where he has been active as the director of his limited company comix mediapool gmbh. The central focus of this agency's work has largely been in the area of corporate design, corporate branding and corporate media.
comix mediapool gmbh expanded in 2004 by opening a new branch office in Berlin, which is run personally by Thomas Schauerte. He gained much experience in the field of place branding through his work for various real estate companies throughout Germany. An in-depth understanding of the interaction between city development, urban identity and regional image in this highly sensitive area of operations – particularly in brand development – is essential.
Thomas Schauerte has also been active as a guest lecturer on topics such as city area marketing and marketing strategies for residential trade and industry at the private university ISM in Dortmund.
For some years Thomas Schauerte has been expanding and developing into both strategy guidance and place branding for municipal organizations as a wider focal point of his work activity.
His overall expertise is in the areas of place branding, branding, brand strategies, identity process, corporate identity, strategy and implementation interface, communiucation and marketing.
